On the left are some pictures from StarFest 2006 in Denver Colorado. This was the first opportunity to display the big 66" USS Enterprise replica model. It would not have been possible to bring her down on display without the help of George Takacs (SaintG) of Timeslip Creations, Ryan Comer (Belleauwood) and Steve Neisen (SWPropmaker) of Nice 'n Model Designs. These guys went out of there way to come up to my house, help me pack up and haul this big ship down there, then unload her. Fortunately, they also helped me to pack her back up and bring her home.

As you'll see by the pictures, it was a great show. I was fortunate enough to have George Takei (Sulu) come over to the display room, and have about 15 minutes of time with him to discuss the replica, the science station, and some of his fond memories of the old show. He was kind enough to also take some posed photos with us! I also did a presentation on the construction history of building the large replica. It was a memorable day!

George Takacs flew out here from Chicago, and brought his beautiful bust of Tricia Helfer (Six) from Battlestar Galactica. Tricia absolutely loved the casting, and signed the base for George. George also got an autograph from the orginal Starbuck, Dirk Benedict.

Ryan Comer got some bases signed by Dirk Benedict as well. Steve Neisen did a nice presentation on kit bashing the Star Wars universe, he brought several studio scale Star Wars models to show how to ID parts for them.
